Who we are
Rope Access Window Cleaning ("we", "us") is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at hello@ropeaccesswindowcleaning.co.uk.
What we collect
When you ask for a quote or contact us, we collect the information you choose to give us, which may include:
- your name, email address and telephone number
- the address or postcode of the building and details about it
- any photos, documents or other information you send us
- our correspondence with you
When you send our quote form, your enquiry (and any photos you attach) is stored securely with our website hosting and database provider, and a copy is emailed to us through our email delivery provider, Resend. Photos are kept in private storage and are not publicly accessible. We keep enquiries only as long as we need them, as described below.
How we use it and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote: to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To carry out work you've booked: to perform our contract with you or your organisation.
- To keep business and accounting records: to comply with our legal obligations.
- To deal with questions or complaints: our legitimate interest in running our business properly.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for marketing without your consent.
Who we share it with
We share information only where needed: for example with our email and IT service providers, our accountants, insurers or professional advisers, or where the law requires it. Where providers process data for us, they do so under contract. The processors who handle quote form enquiries are:
- Our website hosting and database provider (Lovable Cloud), which stores enquiries and any photos you upload
- Resend, which delivers the email notification of your enquiry to us
Fonts
This website loads fonts from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address. See Google's privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information only as long as we need it to respond and, if you go ahead, to carry out the work. We keep customer and job records for as long as needed to meet legal, tax and insurance requirements, then delete them securely.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability. To use any of these rights, email us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we'd appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
